Ingredients

  • 2 chicken fillets, cut into slider-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup flour [63 g]
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 3-4 Tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 Tbsp honey, optional
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt, pepper, and paprika, to taste
  • 2 slider buns

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper for 30 minutes.
  2. Coat each chicken piece in flour, then beaten egg, then breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry in hot oil for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  4. While chicken is still hot, brush or toss with BBQ sauce until coated. Add honey to the sauce if you want a sweeter glaze.
  5. Mix Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth.
  6. Toast buns if desired. Spread yogurt sauce on the bottom buns and add BBQ-coated chicken.
  7. Serve immediately while crispy and saucy.
