Ingredients
- • 1 1/4 cups unsalted butter [284 g]
- • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour [313 g]
- • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- • 1/2 tsp salt
- • 1/2 recipe caramel
- • 4 oz dark chocolate, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F and line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment on all sides.
- In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, salt, and butter. Pulse until just combined and the mixture forms a dough ball.
- Press dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until just light golden brown. Cool completely.
- Make caramel according to directions and let it come to room temperature.
- Drizzle cooled shortbread with caramel and melted chocolate. Freeze briefly or refrigerate for about 30 minutes to set.
- Cut into rectangles with a large sharp knife.
